WK2 Bridges to Nihilism Discussion

Objective: Analyze the logical connections between Naturalism and Nihilism.
Ultimately, nihilism is representative of the loss of all meaning. It the black hole from which all “closed system” worldviews are attempting to escape. Naturalism was supposed to be the great celebration of human reason and our eventual ascent to become like God ourselves (shades of the Tower of Babel anyone?). Instead, Sire points out that three assumptions found within naturalism form bridges to nihilism.
Discuss the 3 bridges that lead from Naturalism to Nihilism. Is Sire correct here?
In what ways do each of the 3 “bridges” or assumptions of naturalism contribute to the loss of meaning?
