Instructions:
1. Watch the 13 minute TED Talk by Eric Liu. Choose 3 key points in his TED Talk and discuss each point.
2, Explore the Citizen University website. Pay attention to the Joy of voting and Civic Saturdays. You have a group of friends that want to increase civic engagement for college students, their friends and families. Choose either the Joy of Voting or Civic Saturday example.
Develop a specific plan to have an event in early fall of 2022. What will you do? Where will you hold your event? Who and what will be involved? (Speakers, music, activities, “celebrities” etc. How will you advertise the event?
Be creative. Plan for college students and kids. This needs to be fun.
What goal do you have for the event? How will you evaluate it’s effectiveness?
