Technology Review PaperIn two to three pages (roughly 500-750 words), double spaced, you are going to review a technological tool that can be used to foster algebraic thinking. Understand that the tool alone can’t do this, it takes an activity also, so you are review both the software and the activity. Be sure to cite your source (I don’t care about format) with a weblink or some citation of the activity. Some of the questions you need to consider:
Software Description: What does the software do? Who is it targeted toward? Cost?
Activity Description: What is it intended to do? What can students learn with it?
Algebraic Thinking: How can the activity/software be used to foster algebraic thinking? How does it enable and constrain algebraic thinking?
Include at least two screen shots (does not count in page length)
Grammar, Punctuation, Citation, Formatting
We will do some of these activities in class, you are welcome to use one that I assigned or choose your own prebuilt activity from the millions on the web (run it by me first) or build your own!

Desmos:
Surf around in Desmos Classroom Activities https://teacher.desmos.com/collection/featured-collections?r=w.hd (Links to an external site.)
Geogebra:
Surf around in the Geogebra blog (be sure to check out the graphing calculator app) http://community.geogebra.org/en/ (Links to an external site.)
Search through the 1,000,000 materials (not all of these are great, that is the purpose of reviewing not only the software, but the activity as well) https://www.geogebra.org/materials/ (Links to an external site.)
Or just do a google search for Geogebra algebra

Or just google Fathom algebra. Be careful because this used to be a commercially licensed software so there are lots of materials that cost money. You should easily be able to find free resources

There are literally thousands of these websites. Google algebra and EXCEL.

There are again, thousands and thousands of these. Not necessarily all good, that is why you are doing reviews
