Parenting Project – Pre-Work(it,s a really small work that I need)

For this group project, you will be focusing on parenting and the significance of parents in child development. In your assigned groups*, your task is to create an informative piece of work to help educate the public about the importance of parenting.
Formatting options include, but are not limited to:
video (screencast-o-matic.com is one option for creating videos of slides/presentations – don’t do the free trial, just use the free version)
pamphlet/brochure
infographic (piktochart.com is an option)
For this Pre-Work assignment [10pts], your group will submit a document outlining the following for your group (only 1 submission per group) :
Format of the project and online tool(s) being used to create it [3pts]What is the format of the project itself? How will it be created, and what tools will be used to create it?

Focus/topic of the project (age range* or issue) [3pts]What is your specific topic chosen for this project? What is the age range of children on which this topic/project will focus on? What specific groups/issues/ideas will it address?*age range needs to be within the scope of this course: ages 0-12

Be sure to have a narrow enough focus that you can be detailed and specific in your project. For example: “Parenting styles” is too broad of a topic.

Resource list (bibliography, APA style) in addition to course materials [4pts]Provide a beginning list of resources that your group will use in your project. You may certainly add to this as you begin putting things together, but these initial 3-4 resources should give you a solid starting place based on scholarly information. Your textbook is expected to be one of the resources you use, so this list should be 3-4 resources in addition to the materials you’ve already been using for this course. You are expected to find mostly scholarly works for this resource list.

Please note: While this project occurs before we have covered certain age groups, you may select ANY age range and/or issue within the scope of the course (prenatal-age 12). Keep in mind that you may need to read ahead with some resources and modules to help you get the information you need if you select middle childhood.
I strongly suggest that you use the group homepage within Canvas for discussions and collaborations on this project. You can access it from the Parenting Project tab just like your Observation Assignment groups.
