Learning Outcome Day 5
During the last day of this course I have developed a well structured understanding of how teams are managed and how to lead and minimize conflicts through leveraging the differences among team members to achieve efficiency. Today I am able to add a value to the team I am leading due to the following information I have learned:
Each and every team needs a leader, however, the team should be managed effectively to prevent any conflicts with proper leadership. Nevertheless, goals and objectives should be outlined clearly and more preferably SMART goals.
Additionally, Learning properly your team members and understanding their capabilities and strengths which could be the key to the success of your team. Additionally, understanding your team members weaknesses and area of development to coach them through and develop them is a critical practice that should be done by a leader.
Last but not least, managing differences and conflicts through leveraging them to the benefit of the team. Many type of conflicts that should be tackled, such as relationship conflicts, task conflicts, and process conflicts. However, a successful leader should be able to tackle those conflicts through diversifying the team, encourage networking, and be creative out of the box to provide exceptional environment.
