Appropriateness of resources

The purpose of this assignment is to assess an existing resource for learning to decide whether you recommend it or not for classroom use. Your classroom can be online, on-site, or hybrid. The resource can be any of the following media types: video, audio, visual, text, game/simulation, or Web 2.0.
To complete your assignment, you will
1.Select an objective, learning outcome, or standard addressed in a lesson that you teach or plan to teach.
2.Find and preview/listen an existing resource that you would integrate in the lesson that you teach, or plan to teach, to enhance learning and address the objective, outcome, or standard.
3.Use the corresponding Selection Rubric from Smaldino et al. (2019) to assess the appropriateness of the selected resource and decide whether you recommend it or not for your classroom use.
4.Annotate and analyze the findings of your assessment and prepare an argument.
5.You can present your argument in writing or via a narrated presentation in video format. You will limit your analysis to two double-spaced pages of content for a written paper, or two minutes of presentation for a video format.
Include the following elements in your presentation:
1.Objective, learning outcome, or standard that is expected to be enhanced with the resource.
2.Type of classroom: online, hybrid, or on-site
3.Name of the resource/material and type (video, audio, visual/still image, text game/simulation, or Web 2.0)
4.Your decision: Do you recommend the resource for your classroom use?
5.Analysis of the rubric findings that supports your decision.
6.Pros and cons of using the selected media type for learning. Support your pros and cons with the literature (i.e., with Smaldino et al. or any other resource).
Criteria for Assignment 3:
If the presentation is within the page or time limit, Assignment 3 will be graded as follows:
1.Elements 1 through 4 are included (1 pts.)
2.The analysis of the rubric findings supports the decision (4.5 pts.)
3.Pros and cons are analyzed and based on the literature cited APA style and presented with correct writing/speech (4.5 pts.)
