Analyzing interview data and discussion question using qualitative research method

Assignment Week 6 – 50 pts
Use the examples from the text, presentation, and sample Table of Interview Response Categories to devise a scheme to begin to code and categorize responses (and your additional comments) in a disciplined manner to uncover at least four major themes (and probably some minor ones as well) from the interview data.
Please review the sample Table and use this table to organize your intitial coding of the interview. This table is required for the assignment.
It is most common to note exact wording in the interview and from that begin to see categories that show some patterns of larger themes. For example, in an interview about workplace conflict, you may see repeated themes around anger or threat. These may relate to issues of power or leadership. Or, your interviewee may reflect more about interpersonal communications or problem personality. Maybe, in hindsight the respondent notes issues of regret or relief. Your task is to spend time with the transcript and using comments in the margins, color coding, and other methods to begin to see a few major patterns. Then, take those exact words and organize them into a table by theme. Refer to the example provided. Discussion Question:
You have now had the experience of completing a small qualitative project with the opportunity to code, categorize, and otherwise orient yourself to some of the basic processes of conducting qualitative research. Before you finish, take time to reflect on your interview project and indicate the following: What would be a reasonable purpose statement for my interview project? What were some of the deeper meanings found in the interview? Craft a purpose statement and brief explanation of your project and deeper ideas discovered in this process. Respond to two other students, critiquing their purpose statements.
