Discussion board- Concepts and applications

Provide feedback on the following two discussions:
Discussion #1:
Part I. In a 2018 CNN article, eSports had more than 50 colleges nationwide having varsity eSports programs (Willingham); these eSports are played on virtually all gaming platforms from Sony’s Play Station, Microsoft’s Xbox, Nintendo Switch and even regular home PC. For the purpose of the discussion, I’ll address the PC variant of eSports console. You will need a gaming PC (system compatible), gaming controller or keyboard (e.g. joystick, directional controller, IR mouse), headset with microphone, particular eSports game, and a high speed connection to the internet.
Part II. According to Intel (n.d.), a modern gaming PC will need a central (and graphics) processing card, motherboard, plenty of RAM/ROM storage, an Operating System (OS), peripherals, and a case with active cooling (air fans or liquid). Since most games are high output, an upscale 1080p to 4K graphics card is recommended, with a 4 terabyte SSD hard drive to reduce latency. An Intel Core i7 processor added to the motherboard insures an incredibly fast 5 GHz processing frequency. Lastly, a high resolution single (double preferred) LCD monitor that can display at 4K minimum.
Part III. Additional hardware needed is a router, connected via CAT5e or 6 cable line (recommended) or wireless at a 2.4 GHz or 5GHz frequency range. Since eSports gaming tournaments can last for hours, an ergonomically designed chair or rated gaming chair is recommended.

Discussion #2:
Part I- The game being played by the user may require a console and controller like how controllers are able to be used by the PS4 or XBox. Even now games can be played on a compact digital screen very much like the Nintendo Switch with more that one controlled users. The gaming community has evolved so much that most games can be played on a PC with keyboard and mouse. So depending on the game, any of these devices would be needed.
Part II- I’m not too sure about the specs of what a PC would need, but from reading other threads in this discussion, I agree with Godson Onyeije when he stated, “The model of the handheld Portable Gaming PC will include a 5-inch (130 mm) OLED multi-touch capacitive touchscreen, two analog joysticks, and front and shoulder push-button input, and supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and optional Internet capacity”.
Part III- From personal experience when using a PC to game, I know a headset is required for 100% engagement especially if the game of Player vs Player (PVP) activity. Even going as far as having a second monitor for other personal use like listening to music in the background and having accessibility without exiting the game.
