Option 1 – Crisis in Global Supply Chains: Our readings this week include articles about significant challenges faced by global supply chains. Some of these are directly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, while others have been evolving for years. In this discussion you will identify what you think are the two (2) most important challenges to global supply chains and why. Include in your post how you think these challenges will be overcome. You should cite information from our readings and any other research you choose to conduct. Be sure to cite your sources using the APA style.
Option 2 – Post-Pandemic Protectionism? In the years prior to the COVID-19 pandemic we saw the US engaged in a trade war with China and other countries. Then in the early days of the pandemic we saw many countries aggressively intervene in trade to try and ensure that they had access to medicine, personal protective equipment, and other medical supplies. In this discussion, you will share your opinion as to whether or not trade protectionism will increase as the world emerges from the pandemic. You should do some research on current trade policies for major trading nations in order to support your argument. Be sure to cite your sources using the APA style.
