Table of Contents
A table of contents is a list of its chapter or section titles or brief descriptions with their page numbers. It should be an automatic table of contents (if you dont know how to make it, check on Youtube or ask your friend or me).
Introduction
Introduction section provides a description of the basic facts and importance of the research area – What is your research area, the motivation of research, and how important is it for the industry practice/knowledge advancement?
Aim and Focus of the Research
Research aims focus on a project’s outcomes.
Research Methodology
Research methodology is the specific procedures or techniques used to identify, select, process, and analyze information about a topic. In a research paper, the methodology section allows the reader to critically evaluate a study’s overall validity and reliability. In bigger research projects we use a combination of different research tools and methods to conduct research, but in this research paper we use only one method ‘literature review’ to conduct our research. So after explaining (in a paragraph) that what a research methodology is and which method you are going to use to conduct this research, you have to explain what literature review is. Please do not forget to cite the definitions.
Literature Review
A literature review is a search and evaluation of the available literature in your given subject or chosen topic area. It documents the state of the art with respect to the subject or topic you are writing about. In this section, you will have to write about the literature as a source of information that you will use in this research. You will summarize in one or two sentences that why you have chosen this literature to use for you research paper – you have to mention every single source that you have used in this research paper (please note that you do not review the sources that you use to explain research methodology or literature review). There are 4 things that you should mention while talking about a source. 1) Title of the book or article or website 2) Author 3) Year of publication, and 4) why this literature and the idea presented in this literature is important for your research.
Preliminary Table of Contents
A table of contents that shows an outline of the headings used in the research.
Preliminary Bibliography/References
An outline of all the sources that you might use to compose and support your arguments. In other words, you can think of it as a starter bibliography.
Conclusion
The conclusion reiterates the importance or significance of your proposal and provides a brief summary of the entire study.
References
All factual material that is not original with you must be accompanied by a reference to its source. Please use APA guideline on reference and citation style (Look at Blackboard for the Guidelines).
