Summary

The article discusses the issue of the teacher’s importance in instilling communication skills to students in various education areas (Page 18). A such, it has been noted that teachers play a critical role in ensuring that listening and communication, which are important for writing and communication, should be developed by the teachers. By so doing, the students will be enabled to achieve academic success in the long term.

The authors of the article quote out that, “Communication process is successful when we deliver the massage in clear and understandable way.” (Page 18).

Assessment

It is a well-researched article that has been founded and written by scholars who are reliable and have experience in the field of writing and communication. As such, the source article will be used to complete my current report that focuses on ensuring that students who are poor in writing and communication may be assisted or improved.

Summary

The article touches on issues such as that of many students who face many challenges when it comes to writing and communication skills (Page 764). Most of such challenges are being faced by students who are international students because they are not English native speakers. As such, the article brings about a need to ensure that such challenges are addressed by the use of strategies that teachers should develop.

Assessment

It is a well-researched article and is an authoritative source that will be useful in ensuring that I complete my formal report based on the issue of improving writing and communication skills for students who are still poor in such an area.

Summary

The article is based on a discussion of how students who are poor in writing and communication skills may be helped to have an improvement in such areas. As such, the authors have stated a need to ensure that writing skills and communication skills are to be improved by ensuring that there is a learning process (page 1). The learning process should be based more on the issue of developing models for such students and then request them to write reports. By so doing, the students will be better at writing and communicating.

The interesting quote is, “It was shown by the mean score in the experiment report writing skill gradually increased from 68,50 in the pre-action to 74,88 in the first cycle and 89,38 in the second cycle.” (page 8).

Assessment

It is an article that is reliable and authoritative because it has been authored and researched by people who are credible and have experience in the area of communication and writing skills. As such, it will be useful in ensuring that I complete the formal report for improving writing and communication skills in students who are poor in the area.

In order to ensure that they are improved, there is a need to apply a cognitive approach to learning which brings about more understanding on how to understand such students who are poor in the area and how they might be helped.
